The University of Sussex Business School is thrilled to host the inaugural Festival of SustAInable Education on 8 May 2024. This groundbreaking event will explore the intersection of sustainability, artificial intelligence, and the future of education.

Meet Sophia the AI Robot One of the most anticipated moments of the Festival will be a keynote address by Sophia, the world-renowned social humanoid robot created by Hanson Robotics. Sophia will talk about her role as a social robot, discuss contributions to education, and offer insights into the possibilities of AI for social good.  Gain Insights from Distinguished Speakers:

• Sir Mark Lowcock, KCB, British economist, former UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, and Senior Fellow at the Centre for Global Development. Sir Mark will share his extensive knowledge on how AI can impact both humanitarian aid and societal resilience.
• Jean-Christophe Carteron, Co-Founder and President of Sulitest, the first online international platform for sustainable development awareness and knowledge assessment. The Business School is the first UK institution to be a Sulitest partner.
• Sir Anthony Seldon, FRSA, FRHistS, FKC, Leading educationalist, Head, Epsom College, author of "The Fourth Education Revolution Reconsidered: will artificial intelligence liberate or infantilise humanity?", and founder of the AI in Education website www.ai-in-education.co.uk.
