BIO

Samuel Fosu is an Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance at the University of Sussex Business School. Samuel has a Ph.D. (Economics) and an MSc in Banking and Finance (with distinction) from University of Leicester, Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from University of Birmingham, BA (with first class) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana), as well as ACCA Professional Qualification. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

He is research active in the areas of corporate finance, banking, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. He has published extensively in internationally leading journals including The Financial Review, Abacus, Journal of Financial Stability, International Review of Financial Analysis, Business Strategy and the Environment, Emerging Markets Review, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Accounting Forum, and Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, amongst others.

On academic citizenship, Samuel has served as a guest editor (International Journal of Management Practice) and a reviewer for several internationally leading journals (e.g., Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, International Review of Financial Analysis, European Journal of Finance, and International Journal of Finance & Economics, amongst others). Samuel has also served as an external examiner for BSc Accounting and Finance programme at Bournemouth University (UK) as well as an external reviewer for the International Banking and Finance Programme at Coventry University.
