On the mornings of Monday 10, Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 March, a lobby and queueing system will be in place on Sussex Direct to help manage traffic to the website, improve user experience, and ensure fairness for students selecting their upcoming modules.

From 8:30am to 9am, anyone who tries to log-in to Sussex Direct will be redirected to a virtual lobby. At 9am everyone waiting in the lobby will be assigned a random position in a queue and the system will begin allowing people onto the website at a manageable rate. Anyone arriving after 9am will join the back of the queue.

Please be aware that if you access Sussex Direct before 8:30am you will be automatically removed from the website and added to the lobby once it opens, so there is no benefit to signing in earlier in the day.

We would like to encourage all students selecting module options in March to sign in to Sussex Direct up to a week before your option-selection date so that you can view your options and start planning your choices accordingly.

9am Monday 10 March – year 1 undergraduates going into year 2.

9am Tuesday 11 March – year 3 undergraduates going into year 4.

9am Tuesday 11 March – year 4 undergraduates going to year 5.

9am Wednesday 12 March – year 2 undergraduates going into year 3.
