Did you start your degree a few years later than most, or as a mature student? Do you know about the Mature Students' Community?
The community is a space to make new friends, talk about what matters to you or reach out for support. It's been designed by, and for, Sussex students, whether you're in your early twenties, or much later in life.
The programme started in September 2025 and has been a great success so far, with fortnightly drop-ins attracting students from across the University. We offer a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, free refreshments and a range of activities designed by, and with, students like you.
We particularly want to offer a space to mature students navigating university for the first time, so some activities may be slightly more relevant to undergraduates than postgraduates, but we are open to all who identify as mature students.
Find out more and book to attend on our TicketTailor page, or follow @SussexUniSEE on Instagram. All dates are also added to StudentHub Events.
