University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint panel chairs for medical and dental consultant appointments. Sussex staff who have experience in chairing formal meetings, committees or interview panels, are encouraged to consider applying to join a list of lay chairs.

The Trust is seeking four to six individuals who can commit to a minimum of 10 half day panels per year. Panels will take place primarily over MS Teams, and lay panel chairs will be paid £150 per half day session. They would welcome applications from people with experience of appointing individuals who are making a ‘step up’ in their career. Whilst not essential, it would be helpful if candidates also had some experience of the public or voluntary sector, to aid their understanding of the culture and ethos of the NHS.
