Mature Students' Community: Assignment Feedback
Tuesday 11 February 12:00 until 14:00
University of Sussex Campus : Student Centre - Woodland 3
Part of the series: Belong at Sussex
The community is a fortnightly space to make new friends, talk about what matters to you or reach out for support. It's been designed by, and for, Sussex students, whether you're in your early twenties, or much later in life. Come for 5 minutes to grab a coffee and say hi, or stay for 2 hours, it's up to you!
At this informal session we will be joined by staff from our Academic Skills team and particularly thinking about assignment feedback - whether you're a seasoned student or new to Sussex. Receiving feedback can result in all sorts of emotions and it's easy to focus on the negatives, particularly if you're returning to education after a break. In reality, it's usually a balance of positive and negative with lots of useful tips that will help you becoming a more successful student. Join us for an informal, supportive chat with staff and students to unpick it together - and don't worry, there is no expectation to share your own assignment feedback!
We particularly want to offer a space to mature students navigating university for the first time, so some activities may be slightly more relevant to undergraduates than postgraduates, but we are open to all.
Most sessions will be in Woodland 3, on the ground floor of the Student Centre. Days vary, so please check the details on the TicketTailor page and book for those you wish to attend, to receive reminders and updates.
