The Student Information System project team are celebrating further success following the
launch of more key parts of the system.
Known as ‘Autumn release 2’, the latest launch focuses on PGT admissions including deposit payments, automatic scholarships and related curriculum functionality, and further integrations for marketing and finance.
The new functionality is particularly important to support student recruitment objectives, and more than a dozen applications were received on the first day of use alone.
This week’s launch comes hot on the heels of the project’s ‘Autumn release 1’ launched in
October, which included UCAS Admissions functionality as well as the first parts of the
curriculum management workstream and integrations to marketing.
Jo Corbett, Assistant Director (Student Systems and Projects) and Senior Responsible Officer
for the project said:
“The team have done an incredible job to deliver two major releases in just two months, as well as ensuring staff are fully trained and supported during the early weeks of using the new system.
Every time we launch new functionality, we know it will have a positive impact for
Sussex, and it’s a great feeling to be a part of this.”
Next up for the project team is a winter release scheduled for March 2025 and the critical
Summer release set for August 2025 when all remaining functionality will be launched.
