Pay your daily parking charge before 5pm on your day of arrival
Paperless Parking is in place across campus with digital parking permits actively used.
Pay as you go update
However, since the new system was switched on, the 48-hour payment window functionality has not operated as we had hoped. To address this, a manual system has been put in place to still allow drivers to pay for parking up to 48 hours from the time they’ve entered campus.
We are sorry for the disruption that this has caused. We are working closely with the PayByPhone team to seek a solution, but in the meantime, we encourage anyone who is parking on campus with a staff pay as you go parking permit, to pay their daily parking charge once they have parked, and before 5pm on the day of their arrival.
Pay on arrival
Staff pay as you go permit holder parking charges apply Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm – outside of these hours, staff are allowed to park on campus without charge.
You can pay the daily parking charge until 5pm on the day of arrival via the following methods:
- PayByPhone App (available on Android and iOS)
- PayByPhone website
- Calling 01273 785599
When paying, remember to input the car park code 810082 to access staff parking charges. This code only works for staff pay as you go permit holders and can be used to pay for parking in any campus car park.
Please note, it is not currently possible to pay your daily parking charge via PayByPhone after 5pm on the day of your arrival. From 5pm, PayByPhone’s mobile app, website and phone will instead charge you for the next day’s chargeable parking period.
Forgot to pay for parking before 5pm?
If you are a staff pay as you go permit holder and forget to pay your daily parking charge before 5pm on the day of your arrival, you can still pay for parking within 48 hours of the time you drove onto campus (or by 4pm on Monday if you forgot to pay on a Friday). You can do so by card, at the Transport Office reception in the Hastings Building, or by calling the team directly on 01273 87 (6538). Transport Office opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
The Transport Office will require your vehicle details and date of visit so that this can be manually entered onto the parking management system and make a payment.
If you do not pay the daily parking charge within the above timeframes, a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued.
