On 3 October the University of Sussex hosted 55 international scholarship students at an event on campus.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global and Civic Engagement) Professor Robin Banerjee and Esther Adeyemo, International Students’ Officer for the Students’ Union, welcomed these students to the Sussex community and celebrated their success at being awarded a scholarship.
The students, many taking Masters courses and some undergraduates, have come from more than 20 countries to study.
More than 40 of the students were recipients of our Chancellor’s International Scholarships. Others have received scholarships from the British Council, World Bank and Said Foundation. There were also groups of students in receipt of the OSCS (Office of the Civil Service Commission) Scholarship Thailand and LPDP (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) Scholarship Indonesia.
