Following the Glyndebourne Sinfonia's performance last Autumn, we are delighted to welcome them back with a new and fascinating programme combining music from earlier centuries (Mozart, Verdi) with contemporary voices.
All are welcome to this free event in the Meeting House on Thursday 7 November starting at 1.10pm sharp. The concert will finish at 1.55pm.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the most famous composers in western music. He lived and died in late 18th century Vienna. His music is admired for its melodic beauty, its formal elegance and its richness of harmony and texture. His Flute Quartet is an amazing and brilliant piece for flute and ensemble.
Jonathan Dove is a British composer who has written many operas for Glyndebourne His composition 'The End' (2012) for tenor and six instrumentalists is a unique and moving meditation on life and death to a poem by Mark Strand.
British-Chinese composer Alex Ho's music has been described as a beam of brightness, hope and resurrection and a composer of compelling and individual talent.
Giuseppe Verdi was a 19th century Italian composer and is famed for his dramatic operas which are performed internationally today. His String Quartet in E minor was written in the spring of 1873 during a production of Aida in Naples. It is the only surviving chamber music work in Verdi's catalogue.
Pit Perfect is Glyndebourne's unique programme where young recently graduated professional instrumentalists join the Glyndebourne Sinfonia, gaining their first professional operatic experience.
