We're excited to invite you to the Lewes STEM Festival 2024, a celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in our local community. This year’s festival includes two standout events that are sure to spark your curiosity and inspire minds of all ages:
Lewes STEM Speakers Symposium – Saturday, 16th November
In collaboration with the Lewes Astronomical Society and Curiosity Sussex, a charity founded by Professor Stephen Wilkins (MPS), we present a fantastic lineup of speakers at the All Saints Centre, covering a diverse range of topics:
- 2:30pm | John Hinton | Ensonglopedia of Science — a science-themed musical performance
- 3:30pm | Emily Thrift (University of Sussex) | Plastic Ingestion by UK Hedgehogs
- 4:30pm | Prof. Julie Weeds (University of Sussex) | Looking inside ChatGPT
- 5:30pm | Miles Jenner (Harveys Brewery) | Authentically Brewed
- 6:45pm | Prof. Chris Lintott (Oxford, BBC Sky at Night) | Accidental Universe
