Phone scam targeting UK students

Students in the UK are being targeted by callers who claim to be from their university finance team and who tell the student they have been a victim of bank fraud. These calls sound convincing, but are fake calls made by criminals to gain personal information and money.
If you get a similar call claiming to be from University of Sussex:
- do not confirm or give any personal details
- do not make any payments.
If you think you have been the victim of fraud, contact the Student Centre and they can refer you to the relevant support service for practical or emotional support.
