How to organise guest and reserved parking
Guest parking
If you have a guest coming to campus for a meeting or event, you can pre-pay for their parking and the guest will have permission to park in any campus car park.
To arrange guest parking, please contact the Transport Office with the guest’s vehicle registration details. Guest parking will be charged at £2 a day and is charged to the host department.
Please book parking at least 48 hours in advance to allow time for the guest’s registration details to be added to the system.
Reserved parking
University staff can also reserve a parking space for guests, who may be attending events or meetings. Reserved spaces are allocated in the P4 Sussex House car park and are marked with blue signs displaying the visitor’s registration number and reservation period. Only University staff can book these spaces – visitors cannot make reservations themselves.
To arrange reserved parking, contact the Transport Office with the guest’s vehicle registration details. Reserved parking will be charged at £2 a day and is charged to the host department.
Please book parking at least 48 hours in advance to allow time for the guest’s registration details to be added to the system.
Visitor parking for large events and recruitment days
For large events, departments should contact the Transport Office to arrange advance parking at the earliest opportunity.
Parking for conference attendees is managed by the conferences and events team as part of the booking process.
Parking is free for everyone on Open Days and Applicant Visit Days.
