Target audience: All staff (Academic and Professional Services) wishing to take control of their finances.
This is an online workshop, on Teams, lead by financial experts at Affinity Connect.
The course will cover the essential tools and knowledge to foster good money management skills and saving habits. It will explore the four steps towards becoming financially well and support your to make informed financial decisions. Topics explored include personal taxation, allowances, benefits and take home pay, understanding your finances, reviewing your borrowing, savings and investments and the value of your pensions.
This workshop will cover:
- Help you to understand your take home pay
- Help you to take stock of your current financial position, discuss the benefits of budgeting and explore options of hot to cut cost
- Highlight the different types of borrowing and how to manage debt and improve credit scoring
- Help you to understand the State Pension and different types of workplace pensions
- Help you to understand the next steps and where to receive further guidance and investments
