Target Audience: All staff (Academic and Professional Services) interested in becoming a mentor. This workshop can also be utilised as a refresher for current mentors.
Mentoring is a powerful method of professional development that can benefit individuals across all job roles and functions, within any department or discipline.
This workshop explores the core skills involved in mentoring and provides insights on ways to develop and practice an effective mentoring approach utilising an established model. It will also give an overview of the Staff Mentoring Programme at Sussex, the benefits of being a mentor, chemistry sessions and the importance of effective contracting.
