The University of Sussex School of Media, Arts and Humanities held their 2024 Undergraduate Showcase on May 29 to celebrate the exceptional creativity and achievements of their undergraduate students.
Held annually, the Undergraduate Showcase offers students the chance to share their final-year projects with a wider audience. This year’s Showcase saw a diverse range of attendees, including family members, friends, peers, professors, and members of the public. Various industry professionals from across Brighton and the UK also attended.
The Showcase was exhibited throughout the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts (ACCA), our renowned on-campus arts venue. Guests were treated to an exciting array of work from the next generation of talented creatives, including experimental photography, thought-provoking music and soundscapes, and assorted documentary and film screenings.
The Showcase’s evening program included a speech from Kate O’Riordan, Pro Vice Chancellor for Education and Students and previous Dean of the School of Media, Arts and Humanities.
In her speech, Kate said: "It’s brilliant to see such a diverse array of projects [...] and it’s wonderful for me to be involved in celebrating the School within which I have spent most of my career."
One of the evening's highlights was the live performances in the ACCA auditorium from student musicians Evie King, Ashmore, and eyeveyes.
The School of Media, Arts and Humanities would like to thank all who contributed to the event’s success, especially our students for sharing their incredible work with our community.
