First year Design student Dan Wild travelled to Chesterfield for the BUCS short range shooting championships, where he finished an incredible 3^rd out of 400 participants!

Dan is also competing in the long range shooting event later this month so we wish him the best of luck!

In the rugby world, Alexandra Robinson helped the England women’s deaf team to a 55-17 victory against Bedford Blues last month.

Rowing scholars Callum Papworth and Jago Bayley had a successful May Bank Holiday weekend at the BUCS regatta in Nottingham. As part of a University of Sussex squad, they finished 4^th out of 48 in the time trial and 5^th in the A final.

On every day of this year’s event the University of Sussex team beat the record for the clubs highest ever placed finish.

Dan, Callum, Jago and Alexandra receive financial support as part of the sports scholarship scheme which is supported by Sussex Fund, thanks to generous donations from alumni and friends of the University.
