A new project to review and update the University’s web estate launched this month. The New Web Estate Project will focus on a replacement for our existing website and associated systems, with the addition of a staff intranet. It will also look at the systems and processes behind how we use these important tools and manage our online content. Now we need your views to help us make the project a success for staff. This is the start of a process of wide consultation on the project.
The project will look at where we are now, and where we want to go next. It will design, roll out, and continuously develop a modern and comprehensive new University-wide approach. To do this, our existing ways of working plus our existing website and associated systems will be reviewed, and we will also add a parallel staff intranet.
We are working with consultants, Pickle Jar, on the project, and they have created a survey to help them identify the wants and needs of staff when it comes to the new web and intranet estate. Complete the survey.
The survey will be open until Friday 26 April and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Your answers will be kept completely confidential and individual responses will not be shared with anyone in the University. Aggregated results from the survey will be used to inform the New Web Estate project, and how the University communicates with staff via the website and new intranet.
At the end of the survey you will have an opportunity to enter a prize draw to win one of ten £10 Munch Money vouchers. You will also have a chance to volunteer to take part in further research.
You can see more information about the New Web Estate Project on the webpage, and the recent Transforming Sussex newsletter.
If you have any issues with completing the survey, please contact research@picklejarcommunications.com. If you need to contact a member of University staff with regards to the survey please contact Rachel Levett, Associate Director, Digital and Creative at r.levett@sussex.ac.uk.
