Today, Friday 8 March, is International Women’s Day (IWD). IWD is celebrated globally to acknowledge the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and call for accelerating gender parity. This theme for this year’s IWD is 'Inspire Inclusion'.
Women at Sussex exhibition
People across our Sussex community are marking IWD in various ways this year. At the centre of our on-campus events is a month-long exhbition of portraits of some of the amazing women of Sussex in the wellbeing and study areas adjacent to the Library café.
Sussex student and Digital Media Creator Lily has created this short (30 sec) video to give students a taster of what to expect.
A full collection of portraits is available on the Women at Sussex webpage and a full set of photos and supportive comments by a wider group of Sussex’s women is available on Padlet.
