BBC Journalist Ros Atkins visits the University of Sussex

Ros Atkins, BBC news journalist and presenter,recentlyvisited the University of Sussexto discuss his new book,The Art of Explanation: How to Communicate with Clarity and Confidence,'on 6 February 2024 at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts (ACCA).
The talk was hosted bywriter,broadcasterand Honorary Senior Lecturer in Intellectual History at the University of Sussex Dr Joanne Paul.
Together, Ros and Joanne discussed the art of explanation and how to communicate stories with clarity and impact. Drawing on hisyears ofexperience as a BBC journalist, Ros provided a range of fascinatinganecdotes andinsights, alongside various tips for sharpening up your communication skills.
The event was well attended byUniversitystudents, staff, andthe generalpublic, and was followed by a Q&A and book signing.
On the event, Ros said,‘I was really honoured to speak in such an incredible auditorium and at such a fantastic university. I couldn't have been more pleased with how(the event)went.’
