The annual Education Awards are back for 2024 and we want to hear your stories of inspiring staff and teams at Sussex!

The Education Awards recognise and celebrate members of staff – both academics and those in Professional Services – who truly embody the spirit and values of the University of Sussex. 

Nominations are now open until Friday 8 March, so you can recommend an inspiring academic or member of professional services staff for an Education Award! This is your opportunity to shine a spotlight on someone who has had a positive impact on your studies.

For example, you could put forward someone who has:

• gone above and beyond to help and support you
• inspired you with their creative approach to teaching
• encouraged you to pursue your passion
• made an impact in the community.

We want to hear about those outstanding people who make studying at Sussex a great experience.

There are five award categories:

• Teaching to Disrupt Award  
• World Readiness Award 
• The Better World Award 
• Learning Together Award 
• Inclusive Sussex Award 

The winners will be chosen by a panel of staff and students. The winners will be announced and given their awards at a ceremony at the ACCA on Thursday 18 April.
