For many of you, assessments have begun and will run until Saturday 18 January 2025. Take a look at the various support available to you, as well as important information about academic integrity and extenuating circumstances.
Support to help you reach your potential
Below are some useful tools and resources provided by the University, to help you with your assessments and ensure you achieve your best results:
- Our Digital Learning Guide to Sussex Direct and Canvas was created by students, and is designed to help you when preparing for assessments
- Our refreshed Skills Hub has plenty of resources to help you with your studies, including support around referencing and revision. You can watch the welcome video as a starting point
- Read through our guide to submitting work and accessing feedback in Canvas. It takes you through the process of submitting assessments online, as well as finding and understanding any feedback from your tutors you may have received already, which can guide in future academic work
- The Library has now returned to 24/7, providing you with study space as well as resources and research support
- Your tutors, course leaders, academic advisors, and student mentors are here to support you. If you have any questions about School support, contact your teaching team or School Office.
Academic integrity
As a University of Sussex student, you are expected to uphold academic integrity by demonstrating this in all your academic work. Breaching our academic misconduct regulations goes against these values.
We know that assessment periods can be stressful, with exams and deadlines often overlapping, however it is important to continue to uphold academic integrity in all of your academic work.
Please read our recent Student Hub story to refresh yourself with information about academic integrity, as well as reminders of support available to you.
Exceptional circumstances
If you experience a short-term, unexpected and beyond your control circumstance that is impacting your academic performance, please review our Exceptional Circumstances webpages. We may be able to provide additional consideration to you should this be needed.
Remember to check for the deadlines you must observe for requesting Exceptional Circumstances.
