T-shirt design competition – you could win a prize up to the value of £200!
By: Rosie Jones
Last updated: Friday, 15 December 2023

Calling all budding designers! As part of the Spirit of Sussex Award, we’re looking for a student to design a t-shirt that will be given out to all final-year undergraduates completing the 2024 National Student Survey.
The deadline to submit your design is Sunday 17 December 2023. Please email your design to rosie.jones@sussex.ac.uk.
Please follow the guidance below when designing your t-shirt. The chosen designer will be able to nominate a prize of their choice up to the value of £200. (The prizes will remain in line with the University of Sussex Dignity and Respect Policy).
- The design should be themed on the University of Sussex
- It can be on either the back or the front of the t-shirt (it’s up to you!)
- The Sussex logo should be included on whichever side your design is not on (either the back or front of the t-shirt) and shouldn’t be incorporated into your design. The logo needs to be handled according to our guidelines available here: https://www.sussex.ac.uk/brand/designers/logo. It shouldn't be stretched or distorted in any way. (If you need a copy of the logo, please do get in touch)
- Ideally, include a line of text down the side of your design that credits you and makes it clear that you are a student. However, please ensure that any information you give is information you would be happy to see printed on t-shirts and do not use personal data which could make you identifiable, for example do not include your surname or date of birth. Please use Arial as the font for this
- The design should adhere to our core university values of kindness, integrity, inclusion, collaboration, and courage. (See here for more details: Sussex 2025 strategic framework – University of Sussex)
Please see here for further terms and conditions.
Please note, the chosen design will need final approval from the Head of Creative, Digital and Creative Media Team, based in the Communications, Marketing and Advancement Division.
