Next Monday (13 November) is World Kindness Day. This date is a useful reminder of the importance of kindness in our lives and our community.
Kindness is one of the University’s five core values, as set out in our 2025 Strategic Framework. To celebrate World Kindness Day, the Sussex Centre for Research on Kindness is hosting a series of interactive activities throughout the week to inspire positivity and encourage us to be more kind.
Watch this video where placement students Freya and Ray explain why kindness matters and how it can positively impact our wellbeing:
The Kindness Team will be in Library Square from Monday 13 November until Friday 17 November, between 11am and 2pm. Visit Freya and Ray and help them spread kindness around campus!
The University of Sussex is also once again taking part in KindFest, an annual virtual festival of kindness. This year’s theme is ‘Investing in Kindness’, with three virtual tents packed full of content, including music, personal stories and guest appearances. Book your free ticket via Eventbrite using the code SUSSUNI01. KindFest is taking place on Friday 10 November between 1pm and 7pm.
