Testing the market for our facilities management on campus

Following the extensive consultation with the community earlier this year, the University is now conducting market testing ahead of seeking a partner to deliver some aspects of our campus services from July 2024.
The feedback from 2,000 members of our community, along with extensive analysis of existing campus services, has demonstrated that a hybrid model is best suited to the requirements of the University. This is the start of the formal procurement process and means that we are issuing a questionnaire to test the appetite of companies to work with us and inform our anticipated approach to deliver services. Through this process, prospective suppliers can provide feedback and highlight other opportunities and ways of working for Sussex.
This exercise will help to shape our formal selection questionnaire which will be issued in late September in accordance with our sector-leading values-based, ethical procurement process. This means we will seek service providers whose commitments to equality, diversity, and inclusion and to environmental sustainability are congruent with our own institutional values.
We are committed to keeping our community, and our SEF colleagues, updated throughout the process, and will share more information as soon as we have it.
