It is that time of year again when we get ready to celebrate One World Week, a celebration of our diverse and global campus. Running from Monday 13 March to Sunday 19 March, the programme is organised in collaboration between the Students’ Union and University.
During One World Week, students and staff can share aspects of their own culture with others, promote cultural understanding and explore global issues. During the week there will be events run by students and staff across campus.
Some of the events we are looking forward to include an exhibition by the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme on projects they have taken part in around the world, a mature students’ skills and community day, a display of culture from students at the International Study Centre and much more.
This year Holi falls on Wednesday 8 March in Library Square, so be sure to get involved as a pre-runner to One World Week.
All events for the week will soon be up on the Student Hub event listings, where you can book on or express your interest through an Eventbrite link. Check the Students’ Union's What’s on pages too, as many of the student clubs and societies events will be posted there.
Throughout the week we encourage all who attend events to post on social media using the tags #OneWorldWeek and #OneWorldSussex.
See you there!
