Train Strikes in January 2023 during the A1 Examination period

Last updated: Wednesday, 21 December 2022
Train strikes have been announced to take place on 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 January 2023.
The Examination period will be going ahead as scheduled. However, on the 4, 5, and 6 January, in-person morning exams will now commence at 10:00am to allow for more travel time in the mornings. All in-person exams on 7 January will commence at 2:00pm.
Student timetables have been updated to reflect these changes. If you have in-person examinations in January, please ensure you plan your journey in advance to ensure you are able to travel to campus in time for your exam.
Students who fail to attend their exam will be recorded as absent for the attempt, and Exceptional Circumstance claims will not be granted under the claim of train strikes. If you are affected by exceptional circumstances during this time, please familiarise yourself with the information published on the Student Hub.
Please ensure you check your timetable carefully on Sussex Direct for the full details and times of your examinations.
