Financial Detox webinar offers advice and support

As part of our cost of living support, we have commissioned Mercer Marsh Benefits to host a Financial Detox webinar to help support colleagues during this period of financial turbulence and inflation. The webinars are part of a wider set of steps the University is taking to support staff who may be experiencing money issues.
About the webinar
Date: Thursday 8 December
Time: Either 9.30am or 11.30am
Duration: One hour
The webinar, hosted by Andrew Skaife, Senior Financial Education consultant, will help and encourage you think about ways to manage your finances and take action in a structured way. This will include:
- Looking at a holistic approach to financial wellbeing, overcoming behavioural barriers and savings and investments
- looking at what you want to achieve, minimising expenditure and starting the planning process
- looking at where you can reduce essential spending, budgeting rules, quick wins and money saving tips
- financial detox, debt management and investments
- enabling you to identify what you want, setting short, medium and long-term goals and looking at key actions to take away
The session will support you to review your finances and give you suggestions for making your money go further. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the webinar and. A recording of the session will be made available.
