The University of Sussex Business School has maintained its place among the top business schools worldwide after achieving EQUIS re-accreditation for a further 3 years.
EQUIS is the accreditation system of the European Foundation for Management Education (EFMD), one of the world’s leading authorities on quality assessment and continuous improvement for excellence in management research and education. Its rigorous peer-review process signals overall quality, viability and self-improvement commitment to students, employers and academic partners worldwide. The accreditation recognises the high standards and quality in research and teaching achieved by the Business School.
Professor Steven McGuire, Dean of the University of Sussex Business School, said: “I am delighted that we have been awarded EQUIS re-accreditation as recognition of the high standards and quality in research and teaching achieved by the Business School.
“Our strong focus is on applied areas such as innovation, international trade, energy and sustainability, science and technology policy, and our expertise in understanding the relationship between them. We look forward to working alongside institutions within the EQUIS network, and continuing to make a positive impact on policy, business and society."
The EQUIS Peer Review Team commended the School for its excellent research spirit and output. They recognised the "high emphasis on impact on policymakers, companies, practitioners, think tanks, national and local governments, and international Institutions."
The University of Sussex Business School is home to major research centres for energy and sustainability research, international trade as well as a major research centre, Digital Futures at Work (DIGIT).
