There’s something so exciting about coming to University, and all students have such wide and far-reaching interests, energy for change and activities! At the Students’ Union, we have over 180 societies and 40 sports clubs for students to explore.
Our societies all fall within the following categories:
- Academic
- Charity & Fundraising
- Community & Sustainability
- Culture & Language
- Interests & Skills
- Media
- Music, Theatre & Dance
- Politics, Liberation & Representation
- Spiritual & Religious
- Brighton & Sussex Medical School.
As you can see, there is something for everyone. And if you can’t find the right thing for you - get two other people interested and you can either adopt an inactive society or start a new one!
Callum, the Musical Director at A Cappella Society says: “A Cappella society is an exciting space to sing, which has allowed me to make new friends, develop my musical skills and create some really cool pieces together.”
The Wellbeing Officer at Sussex Saxons, American Football Club says: “To have the opportunity to join a sports team not only keeps you active and connected to a group of people who want to see you succeed, but it also gives you levels of personal development that will benefit your university career and life.”
For our full range of activities, go have a gander around the Students’ Union website to see what tickles your fancy!
