The Spirit of Sussex Award team is excited to welcome new and current students back for the 2022/23 academic year. 

During Welcome Week, we held pop-up stands around campus, introducing students to the award. The team hosted a workshop, focused on wellbeing and time management for students, and a panel, where current award participants and alumni answered questions. The team also attended the Freshers’ Fair and handed out prizes and merchandise to hundreds of you! 

Postgraduate celebration event 

The Spirit of Sussex Award held its first Postgraduate Celebration Event on 7 September, to celebrate the 140 Postgraduate award winners from the 2021/22 cohort. The event welcomed guest speaker Louise Harman and showcased the entrepreneurial work of award winner Salah Moussalli. Additional prizes were awarded to students for their outstanding work in representing the values of the award. It was wonderful to celebrate the fantastic achievements of the many students who attended. 

Spirit of Sussex Award mixer – 12 October 

To find out more about the award, sign up for our Spirit of Sussex Award mixer, open to all students. It will be a relaxed social event, taking place on Wednesday 12 October (5pm to 8.30pm in Room 76 at Falmer Bar). You can expect fun games as well as free food and drinks.
