Establishing a strong digital infrastructure that supports our staff is vital here at University of Sussex, as it will enable us to deliver the priorities in our Sussex 2025 strategic vision.
One of the ways we are taking a more technology-based approach to HR services is by upgrading MyView, our self-service portal, so that our people can manage absence requests digitally.
From October 2022, all sickness absences will be submitted via MyView and you will also be able to record other absences in one place online. Not only will this make it easier to book absences, you can more easily keep track of your absence, including annual leave. With one system in place to log absence across the University, we will also be able to understand and address any systemic wellbeing issues more quickly.
What you need to do now
More information about the changes to MyView will be shared soon, including guidance for staff and managers on how to use the new features.
In the meantime, take a few minutes to check that you can access MyView with your normal IT username and password. If you do not have a Sussex username and password please contact the IT Service Desk between 8.30am and 1pm or if you have forgotten your password you can find instructions on how to retrieve it on the IT Service Homepage.
