A brief overview
Your Way Forward is targeted at final-year students so we can help you plan out your next steps, know all the options available to you, and reassure you that you don’t need to have all the answers!
The Your Options After University sessions will introduce practical steps for what to do and actions you can take now, look at tools and resources for your career exploration, and enable you to feel confident about what you do next.
Start a Business or Social Enterprise This Summer is for the budding entrepreneurs wanting to either start or scale up their organisation. You’ll create a business plan, understand the considerations and pitfalls of your idea and learn about the support our Entrepreneurship team provides now and for three years after you graduate.
At the Student Centre drop-in on Thursday 26 May, as well as answering finalists' questions, we’ll be speaking to second and final year undergraduates about how you can make the most of the Career Lab Internships Programme to add experience and transferrable skills to your CV, ahead of applying for graduate opportunities.
And finally, CVs and Applications and Preparing for Interviews will support you in the job application process, making sure your CV is application ready and you’re feeling confident ahead of a job interview.
This isn’t goodbye
We’re here for you even after you leave Sussex. We often speak to graduates a year or two after graduation when they’ve had time to think about what they want to do or when they’re moving onto another job. If you’re no longer local by then, you can arrange a virtual appointment, phone call, or seek advice via Ask a Question.
You may need to contact us to reset your CareerHub account after graduation or check your Sussex email account before your leave. We'll send you an email telling you how you can do this yourself.
Need some help? You can make an appointment to discuss your ideas with a Careers Consultant. We’re impartial and can help you think about your options and make a plan for moving forward. Visit our website for more details.
