This Wednesday 23 March, a panel of Sussex alumni from a range of industries in the media, arts and communications sectors will discuss their careers and offer students advice during the online Make it Happen: Careers in Media, Arts and Communications event.&
The panel will feature journalists, theatre practitioners, advertising, digital and PR professionals from companies including National Geographic, LEGO, FareShareUK, Mail on Sunday and the Young Vic.
Student attendees will have the chance to put questions directly to the speakers – a fantastic opportunity to seek answers to your burning career questions! You will get to hear fascinating career stories and get invaluable tips from the alumni talks and Q&As.
This online panel event will provide the perfect opportunity to find out a bit more about the career paths you’re interested in, and speak with people in those fields who also know what it means to be a Sussex student. They can provide insight into what their jobs involve and how they got there, as well as advice on what you can do during your time at Sussex to ensure you’re on the path to success.>
Here, guest speaker Amy Alipio, Associate Managing Editor at National Geographic Travel, gives an inspirational piece of career advice, as a taster of what to expect from the upcoming event:
