We’re delighted to announce the return of our Make it Happen events series, taking place throughout March 2022.

Make it Happen is a series of events featuring panels of alumni speakers working in a variety of sectors and backgrounds. From graduates at the beginning of their post-university journeys to CEOs and Directors who have worked their way to the top, speakers will be sharing their experiences and giving valuable insights into working in their industry.

According to 100% of the students who attended the 2021 series, the events were ‘helpful in supporting their career readiness’.

Events confirmed so far include:

• Careers in Development, Charities and Not-for-Profit – Wednesday 2 March
• Careers in Business, Finance and Marketing – Wednesday 9 March
• Careers in Life Science – Wednesday 16 March
• Careers in Media, Arts and Communications – Wednesday 23 March
• Careers in Government and Public Services – Wednesday 30 March

Online and interactive

Panel events will take place on Zoom and include a discussion and Q&A, followed by opportunities to network with speakers and other attendees in breakouts rooms.

Speakers and participants are all encouraged to sign up to Sussex Connect, the University’s eMentoring and networking platform, so you can get in touch and even continue conversations after the event.
