Active US is back with a bang this week! The start of term marks Trial It Week – where you can try out any of our social sessions for half price. This means each session will only cost £1 each, so why not try out something new!? 

There are plenty of sessions to choose from with our friendly activators leading each session and supplying all the equipment - you just need to bring yourself! This is a great way to try out new sports on a one-off basis and to make new friends along the way. 

If you fancy getting active and having a laugh, feel free to pop along. We welcome everyone and anyone of all backgrounds and stages in their university experience. 

You can take your pick from all sorts of different sports. This semester we are running social sessions for badminton, volleyball, basketball, running, squash, football, AND netball. All of these classes are mixed ability, and we'd love to have you there; it doesn’t matter if you're a keen sportsperson or have never stepped foot in the Sports Centre.  

We are also running some exciting events at the start of term. On Tuesday 25 January, we are running a FREE Boccia session from 4pm-5pm. Our sports scholar and Paralympian Louis will show you the ropes and supply equipment.   

Our activators will also run a beach volleyball event on Sunday 30 January – keep your eyes peeled for more details on this event on our socials.  

There are loads more events to come this semester like Wheelchair Basketball, UV Badminton and Volleyball, Holi Run, This Girl Can Week and more!
