Are you registered with a doctor?
If you haven't done so yet, you should register with a doctor in Brighton and Hove. Don't wait until you're ill.
The National Health Service (NHS) provides free healthcare for UK residents and some, but not all, overseas visitors.
Check the Student Hub for information on how to register with a doctor and what free healthcare you're entitled to.
Report and Support Tool
University Report and Support tool: if you or someone else has experienced behaviours such as bullying, harassment, a hate incident, sexual violence, domestic abuse or discrimination, you can let us know using this Report and Support tool. The tool can be accessed online via the Report and Support Tool webpage.
Please note we will act on every report that is made.
Living and studying safely in Brighton and Hove
We know that adapting to a new environment can be difficult, so we’ve organised a workshop covering topics relating to personal safety, setting boundaries and managing difficult situations effectively.
Book your place for one of the three sessions (16, 22 or 23 November).
Postgraduate study information session
Next week we're organising a series of live sessions for our Masters and PhD Online Open Days. Come along and meet current students, alumni, and academics, and learn about funding, careers and how to apply.
STAR raffle
Sussex Student Action for Refugees (STAR) has set up a raffle to raise money for the Hummingbird Project, a local charity that supports refugee children, including those arriving from Afghanistan. Get a ticket for the chance to win a prize and help refugees in our community.
KindFest 2021
Finally, this Saturday is Kindness Day and our academics are taking part in KindFest 2021, the world's largest online festival of kindness. Get inspired by researchers, charity leaders, volunteers and young people who are making the world a kinder place.
KindFest is this Saturday 13 November from 1pm to 7pm. If you cannot join live or miss any sessions, the content will be available for streaming for 30 days.
To claim your free ticket, visit the booking page and register using this code: SUSSUNI01.
