Could your students address a live challenge from an employer or non-profit as part of their programme? Or are there other ways you would like to involve external organisations more in your teaching?
The Sussex Careers and Entrepreneurship team works with over 1000 local, national and international employers (across all sectors), also partnering closely with Alumni Relations colleagues to help engage alumni in student learning activity.
If you would like the team’s help sourcing external speakers, live challenges or case studies, please contact – at any time throughout the year – Emily Huns, Head of Careers and Entrepreneurship (e.huns@sussex.ac.uk).
You may also want to explore opportunities for using the University’s new experiential learning platform – from partner, Riipen – in your teaching. Riipen makes managing in-module employer challenges easier, integrating well with Canvas.
By working in teams to apply their discipline knowledge to ‘real-world’ problems, students build on their creative capacity and collaboration skills, raising their employability. Please get in touch to find out with the team to find out more.
