Congratulations to the Sussex Education Awards winners in the School of Media, Arts and Humanities! The awards ceremony was held virtually on Tuesday 1 December and the following awards were won:

The Better World Award was won by Emma Newport
This award will recognise staff who are having a positive impact in our local community and beyond. In particular, this award seeks to recognise where community engagement has been built into the curriculum.
 
Learning Together Award was won by Susan Robbins and James Bartoli-Edwards (student in BA Philosophy, Politics and Economics).
This award is for staff who have worked with students to help them feel part of their teaching and learning experience. This might be where students worked with staff on a research project or collaborated on redesigning the curriculum. In this category you can nominate a team made up of staff and students who have worked together.
 
The Sussex Spirit Award was won by Deborah Jackson-Smith, Anjuli Daskarolis and Danielle Salvage
This award is for people who demonstrate our five core values of kindness, integrity, inclusion, collaboration and courage. This could be a staff member who has gone out of their way to help you or others, or who always tries to work collaboratively with their students or other members of staff.
 
The Teaching to Disrupt Award was won by Joanne Paul
This award recognises teaching staff who dare to be different in their approach to teaching. These are people who have inspired students to think critically or in an entrepreneurial way through their innovative and pioneering teaching.
