Update on Senate to Council elections

Mark Fisher and Sara Crangle have been elected from Senate unopposed to two vacancies on Council.
Mark Fisher, a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Sussex Business School, has been re-elected to Council.
Sara Crangle - Professor of Modernism and the Avant-Garde at the School of Media, Arts and Humanities - replaces Kate O’Riordan.
About the process
Council and Senate are two of the three Statutory bodies of the University, the other being Court. Senate is responsible for the academic standards and the direction and regulation of academic matters of the University. Council is the governing body of the University. University regulations dictate that three Council members be elected by and from Senate.
