India Delegation

Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor International, Prof Richard Follet was a member of a high level delegation to India in June organised by the British Council and UUKi. The visit was designed to to promote and showcase the strength and attractiveness of the UK HE sector. It provided senior international faculty from over 10 UK institutions with opportunities to build connections and understand trends, opportunities, reforms and new national initiatives in India. UUKi also hosted a Policy Dialogue organised as part of the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) programme.
During his visit, Prof. Follet met with Alumni and strengthened already existing connections with the Indian Higher Education sector, he met with Sussex alumni and identified new opportunities for UK – India collaboration. He said, ‘it is always great to participate in high level initiatives such as this. Sussex is very proud of its existing connections in the Indian sub-continent and we look forward to further strengthening such links.’
