The Complete University Guide has released its annual university and subject league tables for 2019 comparing 131 UK universities across four measures: entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality, and graduate prospects, with the University of Sussex ranked 25th for its overall performance.
In addition to the main league table, universities are also ranked in 70 different subject areas using the same measures. In these subject tables, Sussex’s School of Business, Management and Economics was ranked in the top 25 UK institutions for all four Complete University Guide subjects taught by the School:
- Accounting and Finance (14th)
- Business and Management (18th)
- Economics (23rd)
- Marketing (13th)
The School’s performance in Accounting and Finance – rising 14 places in one year and being rated first for graduate prospects – is particularly noteworthy, and coincides with the School hosting the annual conference of the BAFA Accounting Education Special Interest Group.
Speaking after the tables were published, Head of School Steve McGuire said: “I’m delighted that the School of Business, Management and Economics has placed so highly across the board.
“Our strong position in the four subject tables for disciplines taught in the School is a real vindication of the hard work and commitment of everyone here to ensure that our students benefit from a high quality student experience at Sussex, no matter what they study.”
