A massive loss - great bloke whose easy going and sincere personality transcended simply playing football together - rest easy Dave
One of life's really decent human beings. A good man.
As Dan says, Dave was a lovely colleague who is very badly missed.
I got to know Dave years ago when he was a porter, and he was a truly decent, kind, helpful and sincere person. This is a real loss for our community.
So sad to see him go. A lovely guy.
Very sad news. I got to know Dave when I was looking after the Science School Finances.
Dave was a gentle giant and always so helpful in his calm and cheery way. My sincere condolences to all in his family.
He will be missed by many here at work.
So sad to hear this news. Dave was one of the first people I met when I started work here nearly 12 years ago. I remember him as helpful and always friendly and kind.
I miss our weekly chats about Wolves and United.
RIP Dave.
A delightful colleague. He always went out of his way to be of help to me in all of our dealings.
He will be greatly missed.
Professor John Nixon (Chemistry)
Such a sad loss. The University has lost someone who really made a difference to so many here. I have lost someone for whom I had the greatest respect.
A lovely, kind man who made time for everyone and listened with care. He is missed here in Life Sciences as a great colleage and friend.

He is sorely missed by many, I miss him as both a friend and mentor, someone who had a huge impact on the Life Sciences department and SciTech before that. RIP Dave.
