Two students will represent the Sussex Law School in the national final of an interviewing competition.
Dominic Griffin and Jason Pinkerton won the regional final of the National Client Interviewing Competition, held at international law firm Macfarlanes in London on Saturday (25 January).
To get to the regional heats, Dominic and Jason won the internal Sussex Law School and DMH Stallard Client Interviewing Competition, held in December.
Dominic and Jason faced strong competition from Nihit Shukla and James McAtamney in the internal final, which was judged by Hannah Wilkins, Alison Wright and Lucy Cory-Wright from local law firm DMH Stallard.
As winners they received £150 each in prize money and a work placement with DMH Stallard. The runners-up received a prize of £100 each.
Commenting on Dominic and Jason's win at the regional final, the Head of Law, Professor Heather Keating, said: "Many congratulations to them both.
"I'd also like to thank Steph Berry and Mary Lee for all their work in supporting our students - both in running the internal competition and working with them so that they can do as well as they have done.
"Thanks are also due, to James Yates and Rebeka Lancikova for playing challenging clients in the week leading up to the competition."
Dominic and Jason will now go forward to represent the Sussex Law School in the final at the University of Winchester on 1 March.
