PMA Media Training runs a training programme for people who want to go into Journalism. Their unique selling point is that their course is especially short: Their course is just nine weeks long and is accredited by the Periodicals Training Council (PTC) and approved by the National Union of Journalists (NUJ)

Usually, on our Sector Guide for Publishing and Journalism the journalism training courses we talk about are accredited by National Council for the Training of Journalists, and they take between four months and a year. By offering a different, quicker to achieve qualification, PMA Media Training aims to get their graduates into the labour market sooner, so that they can start looking for work while other journalism students are still studying. Alumni have gone on to work in Sky News, The BBC, national newspapers, NGOs and many other organisations.
