Developing your teaching and learning

To support the development of your teaching and learning at Sussex, we offer:

  • a range of training sessions and themed events, delivered online, in person and (where feasible) hybrid
  • self-study courses
  • bespoke workshops
  • one to one chats with your School Learning Technologist (LT) and/or Academic Developer (AD)
  • Online Distance Learning specific training for academics.

Live events, workshops and training

Our programme varies throughout the year and includes:

  • Canvas and Panopto training
  • professional development such as course leadership sessions
  • networking sessions to support those interested in scholarship of teaching and learning
  • celebrations of best practice such as the Education Festival.

Self-Study Courses

If you want to make changes to your programme, or are keen to try a new teaching or assessment approach in your module team, we offer bespoke workshops to support you.

We can run any of the workshops listed in the drop down menu, or develop new ones. Get in touch with your Academic Developer and/or Learning Technologist to discuss further.
