There will be some changes to campus activity and facilities on Monday 19 September, the day of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral. Essential campus services will continue to run.
Screening of state funeral
Students and staff who would like to watch the state funeral with others are invited to come together at 10.45am at the Jubilee lecture Theatre, for an 11am start. The event will also be screened in the Meeting House quiet room.
Boundary walk
At 12.30pm, Professor Kelly Coate (Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Students) will meet any students and staff outside the Jubilee building who would like to join her in a Boundary walk around our campus. The Boundary walk is an opportunity to get some fresh air in the beautiful countryside, as well as a chance to meet and be with other members of the University community.
Student wellbeing and support services
Core wellbeing and support services will continue to be available on the day of the state funeral and can be accessed primarily through the Student Centre. In addition, the Chaplaincy service will be available in the Meeting House on campus.
