Important: Campus is shut due to adverse weather conditions

Today (Friday 18 February) we wrote to all staff and students. You can read the message in full below:
Dear all staff and students,
PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS MESSAGE.
Overnight the Met Office has issued a Red Warning for storm Eunice in the South East and it is anticipated that there will be dangerous conditions due to strong winds.
As a result the Campus is shut today (Friday 18 February).
All staff and students are advised not to travel to campus due to potential risks of injury due to the current adverse weather conditions. Please read on for more information on:

Teaching
Wherever practicable to do so, teaching will be moved online today (Friday, 18 February), if this is not possible your teaching will be cancelled.
Information for students living in University accommodation
Residences, Estates and Facilities, including the University 24/7 campus emergency response will continue to be operating – should you need emergency help on campus please call 01273 873333.
Campus services
We anticipate services on campus being disrupted for much of the day.
We expect campus to re-open as normal on Saturday 19 February and we encourage all students and staff to monitor their University email accounts for any further updates.
The Library
The Library is closed because of the weather and it will reopen at 10am Saturday morning.
Sussexsport
Both Sussexsport's facilities are closed today, but plan to re-open tomorrow.
