Classes from Monday 16 September to Friday 6 December

All group exercise classes are free for staff Gold and Silver members. Price per class for staff Bronze members is £5 and £7.50 for non-members

Monday

Zumba: 12.05pm - 12.50pm

Instructor: Gemma C

Venue: Sport Centre Hall Two

Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind class that will blow you away.

Small Group Strength: 12pm - 12.45pm

Instructor: Sussexsport Fitness Team

Venue: Falmer Sports Complex Strength and Conditioning Room

A progression from the Small Group Training. There is still a focus on perfecting technique, but these classes start to add intensity to the lifts. A perfect introduction to those wanting to learn more about weight lifting and adding intensity to their workouts.

Indoor Group Cycling: 12.05pm - 12.50pm

Cycle to the beat of the music or speed through challenging intervals. This high intensity class will help you burn calories, energise the body and is suitable for all abilities.

Based on flowing sequences and prcise alignment, linked to full rhythmic breathing that will open up the body and mind. This class will improve your strength, stamina and flexiblity.

Women's Only Session: 2.00pm - 3.00pm

Join Jas in this technique workshop covering different methods of training. Expect a workout consisting of bopdyweight resistance and strength training using Dumbells, Barbells and Kettlebells. There is also lots of opportunity to ask Jas about exercises and training methods.

Aerial Yoga Improvers: 2.15pm - 3.15pm

Venue: Sport Centre Dance Studio

Move between yoga postures using a low-hanging wide aerial silk, hung like a hammock, to give flowing movements that relax and stretch the body.

Long sleeves and long trousers recommended wear, but not essential. Please wear clothing with no zips or buckles, and remove watches and jewellery prior to each class.

A quick 30 minute class focusing on key core exercises. A mix of a workout and also coaching around technique. This class works as a great start to a gym based workout or as a great finisher at the end of the workout.

Tai Chi QiGong: 6pm - 7pm

Tai Chi Qigong offers an ideal way to grasp the essence of Tai Chi through energy work, or Qi Gong, comprised of 18 postures designed to enhance the health and vitality of the body, mind, and spirit. Combining mindful movement with gentle, relaxed breathing, students become more aware of their entire bodies, recognising and releasing tension patterns to regulate energy and achieve optimal health.

Looking to de-stress and start your week on a high note? Join me every monday from 7-8PM for an hour of commercial dance! Each week will feature a new routine to popular dance songs, aimed to boost your confidence and make you shine in and out of the class! Strength and core works on switching on all our deep stabilising muscles so that we improve balance, core control and is great for injury prevention. The movements are slow and strong to allow for correct technique and form. You will definitely be challenged in a positive way and will end the class feeling like you have not only worked hard but achieved a lot!

CardioBox is a high energy class using a mix of simple martial arts moves mixed with traditional aerobics exercises to create a full body workout. Kick, punch and squat away the calories with fat burning and stress releasing fun workout. Suitable for all abilities & fitness levels, no martial arts expereince needed.

A shorter version of the main metabolic class. This class is perfect for those that have some resistance/weight training experience or have been part of the other Small Group Series of classes that Sussexsport offer.

An class centred on strength training to produce a high intensity class that trains both the muscular and cardiovascular system to create a smart training solution. The class uses barbells, dumbbells, ropes, kettlebells and medicine balls and requires a good experience of free weight training. The class is a great calorie burner, great fun and is a challenging workout.

An advance class centred on strength training to produce a high intensity class that trains both the muscular and cardiovascular system to create a smart training solution. . The class uses barbells, dumbbells, ropes, kettlebells and medicine balls and requires a good experience of free weight training. The class is a great calorie burner, great fun and is a challenging workout. Suitable for those with previous lifitng experience and thos wanting to push themselves.
