LAWW: Wellbeing and Networking Event
Tuesday 13 May 12:00 until 15:00
University of Sussex Campus : Meeting House
Part of the series: LAWW 2025

The theme of this year’s Learning at Work Week (LAWW) is ‘Get Connected’ and we’re embracing that at Sussex. Join us for a special drop-in wellbeing and networking event designed to uplift, connect, and inspire on 13 May from 12 pm to 3 pm at the Meeting House.
Come along to meet colleagues, discover practical tools to enhance your day-to-day wellbeing at work, and learn how small changes can have a big impact — for yourself and for the wider Sussex community.
You’ll have the chance to connect with:
- Wendy Carey, Staff Wellbeing Manager – Hear about university-wide wellbeing initiatives and how you can get involved.
- Staff Networks – Learn about inclusive spaces for neurodivergent staff and how these networks foster a sense of belonging.
- Menopause & Menstruation Networks – Discover support, community, and empowering resources for managing health at work.
- Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders) – Get to know the friendly faces offering confidential support and advice across campus.
- Sussex Sport – Find new ways to move your body, reduce stress, and re-energise, even on your busiest days.
- Action for Happiness – Be inspired to take small actions that spread joy, kindness, and resilience in our workplace culture.
- ...and more!
This event is open to all staff, and you can drop in at any time that suits you. Whether you want to chat, pick up resources, or just have a moment of connection in your day, you're warmly welcome.
To help us plan, please take a moment to book your spot on LearnUpon.
We can’t wait to see you there.
